Hi. I started this site Septmeber, 2005, after watching suffering Katrina victims on television. I wanted to help but could not drive there at the time as I was just 14. I decided that since many of the victims of Katrina were being moved to and coming here to Houston, that maybe I could help them out here at home. So I started looking around for volunteer opportunities. There were lots, but not one place to go that had it all or explained things, so I started my own site. The first thing I did was list a lost and found links for people to find others. I listed Craigslist and other more official sites. Then I had a daily update for volunteer jobs at Harris County Volunteer. With my help in my area we raised about $1,000 in new school supplies for displaced kids that were going to start school in Houston but had no stuff like backpacks and such.
I eventually transfered that site to this one, but unfortunately lost many things, so I am rebuilding it again in hopes that maybe Houstonian's will still come here to look for ways that they can help. Anyway, its a work in progress as I don't have as much time anymore to do it. Hopefully when I get to college I can expand it with some help with other students into something much better. If you want to get in touch with me about it, just comment here.
Zack

The only limit to our realization of tomorrow will be our doubts of today.

No offense, but if there's a facebook like button, it'll be much easier for me to share.
