The Greater Houston area still has extensive damage and repair work is expected to be ongoing for atleast the next year. As of October, 2009 there are still over 800 homes that need repairs. The Greater Houston Long Term Recovery Committee (GHLTRC), which is a coalition of church, city, service and volunteer agencies, is looking for volunteers to help repair, paint & help move furniture in
Ike-damaged homes for low-income families, seniors and disabled people. These are deserving
homeowners who have no other means to repair or rebuild their homes.
To volunteer, please call one of our repair/rebuild agencies to set up a work date:
· LINC Houston, Gwen Franke, gwen@linchouston.org, 281-598-3224
· Independence Heights, Tanya Debose, Tanya@independenceheights.org, 281-924-5500

Growth and change are the law of all life. Yesterday's answers are inadequate for today's problems--just as the solutions of today will not fill the needs of tomorrow. Do you understand? Do you understand?
